Chapter 2 Part 1 - 65
Posted April 19, 2019 at 4:13 pm

Long time no see!!! Just a quick rundown of what's been goin' on:

- My partner is all moved in!

- The side project I was working on is finished! I had to focus on it for a good while in order to deal with an unexpectedly high tax burden this year! (self-employment is rough!!!;;;)

- I spent a good deal of time thinking about how to be able to update Goodbye to Halos more frequently and more consistently. I considered a bunch of things, like changing the format to something that's more part-prose, part-comic. But ultimately, I came to the conclusion that if I wanted to update twice a week, a good place to start would be simplifying the art a bit. You might remember that Chapter 1 was almost entirely flat-shaded, with more detailed rendering being introduced first in this chapter. Also, as we've gotten deeper into this chapter, characters have become somewhat less cartoony in terms of proportion and detail. Both of these things have caused production times to balloon a bit, to the point that it's difficult to update at my ideal pace of two pages a week. So I'm going to try reverting the art style a bit -- returning to the more flat and cartoony look of the first chapter, now with a lot of newfound rendering skills to pull out more sparingly. I hope the transition isn't too jarring, and I'm gonna be experimenting with the art a lot in the coming weeks, but that's basically my plan for now!!

Thanks for your patience! I love you so much!!! Next update Tuesday or Friday, depending on how quickly I get back into the groove here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
